St. Louis Bogor Sister Cities Fundraising Dinner for Indonesian Natural Disasters 2010

The St. Louis Bogor Sister Cities Fundraising Dinner for the Victims of the Indonesian Natural Disasters 2010 was conducted in Clayton, Missouri, on November 29, 2010.

The event attended by forty people from the Indonesian community and the local American community in St. Louis. Among the attendees were the Indonesian Ambassador to the USA (His Excellency Dr. Dino Patti Djalal), the Head of the Chancery of the Indonesian Consulate General in Chicago (Consul Agus Buana), and a chancellor from the Indonesian Embassy in Washington D.C. (Mr. Timbul Situmorang).

During the event, Mr. Landung Wahana from the Indonesian Islamic Prayer Group, Mr. Ken McCune, Mr. Dave Greiner, and Mr. Ed Moncada, representing Islamic and Christian entities, offered their prayers for the Victim of the Indonesian Natural Disasters in Sumatra, Java, and Papua Islands.

The modest one night community event raised $ 1,300 (one thousand and three hundred dollars). The President (Joe Passanise) and the Board Chairman (Alex Soetjipto) of the St. Louis Bogor Sister Cities symbolically presented the check to the Mayor of the City of Bogor (Honorable Diani Budiarto) to be given to the Indonesian Red Cross.
